  • Lessons from other industries
  • Diversity and social resemblance
  • Creating a culture that represents the needs of all stakeholders

Dr Andrew Bailey, Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, will be participating in the opening fireside chat.

As Dr Bailey states in his CEO’s introduction to the FCA’s Business Plan 2018/19:

“Firms’ culture and governance is pivotal to building public trust and confidence in the UK’s financial services industry, both domestically and internationally. We continue to implement the reforms that followed the financial crisis.

Culture and governance is particularly relevant when firms design new products and services. They also heavily influence whether firms’ business models deliver the right outcomes for consumers. The shift to consumers having to take more responsibility for their financial choices has coincided with increasingly complex needs.”
